DEBORAH MENTORING SCHEME

Deborah is an inclusive initiative that is set up to focus on invigorating and motivating women to take steps towards achieving their potential. Deborah is an initiative that promotes inclusion and gives women entrepreneurs and professionals the opportunity to network, share their experiences, and learn from each other’s experiences which in turns would foster positive change and growth in their lives. Over the last 5 years, Deborah has run seminars, workshops and conferences covering a wide range of topics.

DMS was launched in 2019 as an initiative focused on mentoring and giving young ladies a safe space the confidence to be able to achieve their goals in life. The program is divided into two phases. Phase 1 is an eight week long group mentoring session where the young ladies get to interact with the potential mentors, listen to seminars, talk about their experiences, fears and their mentors open up about their experiences, fears, successes etc. This is an essential part of the program as it helps build bonds, friendships and trust.

Phase 2 of the program is focused on one to one mentoring based on the pairing of a mentee with a suitable mentor for a period of one year.
